THE SAINT by Monica McCarty Hits Home Run

The Saint

I love good writing and Scottish historical romances. I've also found that there are a lot of poorly written Scottish tales out there, but Monica McCarty has proved she can write a gripping tale filled with tension that will keep you engrossed until the very last page.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Saint--so much, that I will definitely read more of McCarty's books. That says a lot, because as a writer, I read widely and consciously try not to spend too much time reading one author.

The Saint opens at the Highland Games where Magnus Makay is facing his nemesis, Donlad Munro (henchman for the Sutherlands) in a gladiator style fight against brawn. Watching in the distance is Lady Helen Sutherland. Her secret affair with Maguns is about to be exposed...and their love is forbidden. The Makay's and the Sutherland's have been arch enemies for centuries.

The tale follows the war that brings the couple back together and the tragedy that keeps them apart. A gripping tale, I recommend it for all lovers of Scottish romances!

McCarty has a number of Highland romances. The Saint is book five in the Highland Guard series, and book six, The Recruit will be released this month. Visit her website for more info
